Welcome to Ludus Lake!

Ludus Lake is a community for MapleStory players, past and present. Whether you're here to share memories, discuss the game, show off your character, ask questions, or just hang out with fellow Maplers, we're glad you're here.

These guidelines aren't meant to be a giant list of restrictions. They're simply here to help keep the community friendly, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone.

1. Be Kind to Each Other

Treat other members with respect.

Friendly debates, disagreements, and discussions are all part of a healthy community, but personal attacks, harassment, bullying, or deliberately trying to make others feel unwelcome are not.

Remember that there's a real person behind every username.

2. Everyone Is Welcome Here

Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, hate speech, or other forms of discrimination have no place on Ludus Lake.

We want this to be a community where people can enjoy talking about MapleStory without worrying about being targeted or excluded.

3. No Spam, Scams, Impersonation or Misleading Content

Please don't spam the forums, flood discussions, post misleading information, or attempt to scam other members.

Do not pretend to be another user or mapler. This includes using someone elses character/avatar on the site. You may only use your own characters.

If you're sharing something, do so because it contributes to the conversation—not because you're trying to advertise or exploit other users.

4. Keep Things Appropriate

Most people come here to relax and enjoy the community. Please keep content reasonably appropriate and avoid posting anything illegal, excessively graphic, or otherwise disruptive.

5. Stay On Topic (Mostly)

Try to post in the appropriate forum section and keep discussions generally related to the thread topic.

That said, conversations naturally wander sometimes. A little off-topic discussion is part of what makes communities feel alive.

6. Respect Privacy

Don't share personal information about yourself or others that shouldn't be public.

If something isn't yours to share, don't post it.

7. Don't Abuse Bugs or Exploits

If you discover a bug, security issue, or other problem with the site, please report it.

Helping improve the community is appreciated. Taking advantage of issues at the expense of others is not.

8. Help Us Keep the Community Healthy

Moderators and administrators are here to keep things running smoothly, not to police every conversation.

If a moderator reaches out regarding a post or discussion, please work with them in good faith. Most situations can be resolved with a simple conversation.

9. Use Common Sense

Not every situation can be covered by a written rule.

If you're unsure whether something is appropriate, ask yourself a simple question:

"Am I helping make Ludus Lake a place people will enjoy coming back to?"

If the answer is yes, you're probably on the right track.

A Final Note

Ludus Lake exists because people love MapleStory and the memories, friendships, and stories that came with it.

Be welcoming to new players, helpful when you can, and respectful of each other's experiences. A good community is built by its members, and we're happy you're here.

Have fun, and happy Mapling!
