- Bug Fixes - Addressing reported issues and improving site stability.
- Theme Improvements - Enhancing both Dark and Light themes, improving cross-device compatibility, and refining the overall UI/UX experience.
- Better Error Messaging - Making error messages more informative and helpful when something goes wrong.
- Announcement Bar - A dismissible message bar for sharing important site updates and announcements.
- Mobile Hamburger Menu - A flyout menu for mobile to access basic forum links like on desktop.
Soon
- Members Page - Browse all registered Ludus Lake members.
- Online Members - See who's currently online.
- Enhanced BBCode Support - Additional formatting options, improved URL handling, lists, and more.
- Signatures - Add a custom signature that appears beneath your forum posts. Note: Restrictions such as post count, reputation, file size limits, and other safeguards may be implemented to help prevent abuse.
Near-Term
- Forum Search - Search for threads, posts, and other content using filters.
- Friend Finder - Search for old friends using character names, guilds, and other profile information. Note: You can already add previous character names and guild affiliations through the profile editor.
- Polls - Create polls within forum threads to gather feedback from the community. Note: Community polls will also help guide future feature prioritization.
- Site Reputation - A reputation system based on activity throughout the Ludus Lake ecosystem. Potential factors include threads, posts, likes/dislikes, database contributions, and more. Note: Before development begins, the community will have the opportunity to help decide what contributes to reputation and what benefits it should provide.
- Expanded Profile Customization - Additional options to personalize your profile and showcase your identity within the community.
Long-Term
- LudusDB - A dedicated Classic MapleStory database featuring maps, items, monsters, skills, quests, and more. Users will be able to contribute data such as monster drops, training tips, and other helpful information.
- LudusDB Forum Integration - Seamless integration between LudusDB and the forums. Example 1: Writing a training guide? Mention a monster such as Wild Kargo and LudusDB can automatically display relevant information. Example 2: Creating a marketplace thread? Mention item names and LudusDB can automatically display item images and stats, making it easier for buyers to browse your wares.
